My name is Davidson Jaconello and I am a professional dancer and composer from Toronto, Canada. Starting dancing at the age of 7, I trained in dance schools around the world including the National Ballet School, Harrid Conservatory, Xing Dance Academy and finally the American Ballet Theater School in NYC. I started my professional career in 2007 when I joined the Alberta Ballet and then after 6 years relocated to Germany to join the National Theater of Mannheim before finally going freelance in 2016.
Since I was young I had a passion for music. While in Alberta Ballet I joined multiple bands as a drummer and working with other electronic music musicians in between rehearsals and performances. I got intensely interested in the capabilities of computers in music making and started combining my love of classical and minimal music with my love of more electronic styles.
My first collaboration was with Yukichi Hattori in the making of a full evening piece for the Alberta Ballet called “Dump the Physical Memory”. That was the official start of my musical journey in theater. Since then I have written music for other companies and choreographers around the world including National Theater Mannheim, West Australian Ballet, Ballet Hagen and Delattre Dance Company as well as plays and short films. I make music because it excites and moves me in ways nothing else can and my aim is to hopefully move others in the same way.
