Story Ballets

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is the 3rd story ballet in the trio. We brought the characters to life with voice over work and text, mixed with my own original works and pre-existing music woven together into a 1 hour collage that brings the audience on the magical journey of Alice.

The Picture of Dorian Gray

The Picture of Dorian Gray was my second full-length story ballet creation. 3 acts. 73 individual sections. It was made up of 22 original compositions combined with 27 pre-existing pieces of music woven together in one track to flesh out the world of Oscar Wilde’s novel.

Faust - Der Tragödie erster Teil

A play created by Jan Friedrich based on Goethe’s timeless work. I wrote many sound effects and other drones and ambiences, along with remixing popular music and opera, to bring the story of a man’s descent depravity to the stage.

The Hunchback of Notre-Dame

Hunchback was the first of 3 story ballets created with the Delattre Dance Company in Mainz, Germany. In order to bring the required scale and depth to the work, we took pre-existing music and mixed it with my own original work to create a strong soundtrack for the dancers to work with.

Cassanova

Created for the National Theater Mannheim, Cassanova was a mix of Mozart’s piano concertos and modern music I wrote to represent the more surreal and absurd scenes and places, such as parties, sex dolls, and masked entertainers.
